A gigantic feast of arts and culture!
Dún Laoghaire is set once again for a spectacular global carnival weekend, which will see 800 musicians and artists, plus another 1,000 participants and volunteers descend on the seaside town to take part in 150 live gigs, performances and events throughout the town.

The full programme for the 2008 Festival of World Cultures is now on line. This year’s Festival offers a cultural cavalcade of music and arts, with a stellar line-up of headline musical acts including the infectious rhythms of Tiken Jah Fakoly, the etheral Sa Dingding, the legendary Ethiopiques, the original salsamuffin architect Sergent Garcia and the exquisite Yungchen Lhamo. A galaxy of musical talent and showcase acts from Algeria, Brazil, China, Ethiopia, Mali, Morocco and many more.
The Festival of World Cultures and Blackwater Projects proudly welcome a debut visit from two of Kyoto’s most distinguished Geisha.
