Your ticket to South Asia is ready…. Full Mela programme details have now been announced, and your journey starts right here!

On Saturday 24 July be transported to South Asia (also known as Peoples Park) where you will find our Mela venues The Lotus Tent, The Peacock Tent and Bollywood Central Bandstand bursting with the sights, sounds and smells of Indian and beyond.

Browse our Mela Market, view the acrobatic feats of Kawa Circus, step into the Mela Zen Garden and relax to the sounds of Postcards From India, an installation by artist Fiona Larkin. Once refreshed and relaxed grab your dancing partner and perfect your Bollywood moves, find beautiful Tibetan Prayer Flags designed by local school children, admire hand made Tibetan prayer wheels and the mini Hindu Temple created by the Hindu Cultural Centre of Ireland and be stunned by Yakshagana Kendra and the Drepung Loseling Monastery Monks.

Peoples Park will be packed to the brim with South Asian arts, flavours and creativity. Be inspired and take part in our Mela Workshops. Just remember to save some energy for the Bollywood Disco at the end of the day.
