Get Involved In The Festival!

THE FESTIVAL NEEDS YOU!

Want to know how you can you get invaluable work experience with a large arts and culture festival, while meeting new and interesting friends as well as gaining automatic access to the members only Festival Volunteers Club, not to mention getting your hands on a goodie bag with lots of cool stuff??

It’s simple; all you need to do is sign up to be a volunteer over the Festival Weekend and you will get all this and more.

Volunteers are vital to the successful running of the Festival and play an important role within the Festival Team structure. In 2007 over 300 volunteers alone, performed a wide variety of tasks ranging from, artist liaison, production and technical assistants, volunteer supervisors, performance supervisors, hospitality facilitators and much more. In addition to learning how a festival operates, all volunteers will receive a specialised health and safety training session prior to the Festival weekend.

Volunteering with the Festival of World Cultures is such a great opportunity to be part of such a huge event and to meet people from all over the world. It's a great experience!!! Jessica Tucker, Canada

Fantastic mixing with different cultures from around the globe and seeing their amazing talents of art/music being displayed. The 2 years in a row I have worked here, I made 2 great friends, German and Polish. This festival shows you how small the world really is!!! Liz O’Callaghan, Ireland

A good opportunity to meet diverse people from different places, in a nice atmosphere. The program is fantastic and luckily so was the weather. Jérôme Gonnet, France

If this sounds like something you would like to get involved with, all you need to do is drop a line to fwcvolunteers@dlrcoco.ie or call + (353) 1 271 9518. We're waiting to hear from you!
