Sultry, powerful, Hindi-electro cross over. Winner of Best Female Vocalist at the Asian Pop Awards, Shahin Badar brings her electrifying blend of Arabic and Indie harmonies, raging electro guitar and fat hip hop beats for an afternoon of lyrically driven upbeat dance. This transnational troubadour – born to Indian and Bangladeshi parents but raised in Kuwait and England – is the most exciting Hindi-electro artist in the UK today, her trademark sound exotically blending the new and old, the East and the West.

Badar’s music has been featured in over thirty Hollywood and Bollywood films, including Closer and Charlie’s Angels, she has worked with 50 Cent, Juliet Lewis and Jah Wobble, and is best known for her spine-chilling Alaap chant on The Prodigy’s controversial number 1 hit single S.M.B.U.

Badar will be performing numbers from her album LAILA and will be joined on stage by Ireland’s own electro-punk band Noise Control, stepping up to the mic for their recent release Take It featuring Shahin Badar.
