PRODUCTION WEEK HAS COMMENCED

The production team has multiplied overnight it seems as production week began in earnest this morning. The office is abuzz as phones ring constantly; mini meetings take place wherever there is free space, accreditation passes numbering approximately 2000 are being laminated, Festival t-shirts are being unloaded and stockpiled. Finally…The Festival is here!

Step out of the office and you will see the signage crew busy around Dún Laoghaire making preparations to transform Dún Laoghaire into giant global gathering taking place on our doorstep this weekend. Over 1000 banners, event notices, posters will be posted in the next 2 days. From tomorrow keep an eye out for our crew wearing ‘bob the builder’ hard hats as they construct the 6 different outdoor stages (a video clip of Newtownsmith Main Stage being built will be posted later in the week).

All the busy months of planning are now a reality, only 5 days to go…current mood: ecstatic.
