Pétanque is the quintessential French pastime, played by over 17 million people in France. Originating in 1907 in La Ciotat, Provence, pétanque (a form of boules) is a competitive team game played on hard dirt or gravel. Standing with feet together, the player throws a hollow metal ball aiming to pitch as close as possible to the small wooden ball (jack).

Put yourself in this traditional French setting with demonstrations and games presented by the Dublin Pétanque Club. Participate or observe this wonderfully communal activity while enjoying your French pastry and coffee at the Café de France wagon. Or enjoy a walk through the amazing and beautiful Rainbow Puzzle Path.
