St Patrick’s Festival
A wonderful oasis of colours and sounds the People’s Park Family Event, along with children’s workshops and storytelling showcases a wide variety of dance and music performances hosted by numerous national community organisations and ethnic groups. As in previous years the programme is brought to you in conjunction with St. Patrick’s Festival Company.
This year they also join us as co-ordinators of the Festival’s Global Carnival Parade featuring visiting international groups and Irish based performers.

Environment Department ~ Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council
Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council’s Environment Department for the second year are delighted to host Cool Earth at the Festival of World Cultures; a two day environmental exbition that illustrates simple ways to reduce your cabon footprint!www.coolearth.ie
Dance Theatre of Ireland
The Festival’s dance workshops hosted by Dance Theatre of Ireland have proven to be a hugely popular element of the Festival programme. Along with the return of key favourites such as Capoeira and Bollywood dance, this year’s workshops include hula dance, African Groove and Brazilian Bachata.

Chester Beatty Library
With its rich collection spanning Asian, Middle Eastern, North African and European artefacts the Chester Beatty Library’s series of workshops hosted at the Festival offer wonderful insights into ancient and modern cultures and civilisation. They will also feature this year as part of the Dún Laoghaire Mela.

Storytellers of Ireland /Aos Scéal Éireann
Storytellers of Ireland, in conjunction with the Festival, presents an evening of traditional storytelling celebrating various cultures through one of the oldest art forms. The event will feature Dovie Thomason (Native American), Peter Chand (Indian), Michael Collins (Irish) and hosted by Irish Storyteller Jack Lynch.
