12:00 – 13:30 Kaleidoscope
Help us create a carnival vibe in the park and join artist, Susan Leen to create a festival butterfly. We will have a growing Kaleidoscope of distinct butterflies displayed through the day – make sure yours is there.

14:00 – 15:30 Carnival Kaleidoscope
A special workshop with artist Susan Leen for parents and children to make a butterfly prop and get into costume for the Birthday Bloco Carnival Parade.
Parade starts 16:45 from Park Road so participants go directly to the parade after workshop. Ends 17:30

12:30 – 14:30 / 15:30 – 17:30 Mitu Mia/The Cheeky Parrot
We present the Carnival Gypsy Fortune Teller. Visual artist Meghna Singh and Mitu Mia her cheeky parrot will tell your fortune by reading the cards. The parrot card reading is based on an ancient tradition from remote villages in central India.

12:00 – 18:00 Masquerade Costume Box
For those of you who forgot your costume – don’t worry – we brought lots!! We have the largest ‘dress-up’ box you have every seen with instant masquerade for the whole family. Dress up and take a pic in front of the carnival backdrop – our wardrobe mistress and eccentric photographer are on hand to help. Add the unique photo to the family album or upload onto Pix.ie to join the family of best masquerade carnival pics.

12:00 – 18:00 Carnival Play Area
Carnival and parties are all about play – let the little ones have some fun and check out our carnival puzzle paths and interactive carnival play area.
